Parent company of SCTV, Surya Citra Media (SCMA), is listed on IDX. SCMA traded today on the level of Rp 850 per share. At that price, SCMA has market capitalization of Rp 1.6 trillion, or about U.S.$ 177 million. So, let just say that Trans TV has a little higher value than SCTV which was U.S.$ 177 million, and Chairul has 100% stake in Trans TV. Then the total wealth of Chairul Tanjung from Trans TV is roughly about U.S.$ 200 million.
Thus, Chairul Tanjung's wealth derived from the Bank Mega and Trans TV is about U.S.$ 850 million. Chairul also has another bank, Bank Mega Syariah, and another television station, Trans 7 (51% stake). So if accumulated, Chairul wealth from ownership of these two banks and two television stations, the likelihood is above U.S.$ 1 billion.
